Terms of service
The basis on which we sell and run safaris. Written to be read rather than skimmed past — it is shorter than you expect.

These terms
These terms apply when you book a safari, charter or day trip with Entonai Safaris, a tour operator based in Nairobi, Kenya. By completing a booking you accept them on behalf of everyone travelling in your party.
Our cancellation policy forms part of these terms and is set out in full on its own page.
When a booking becomes binding
A booking is confirmed once you have paid in full and received a written confirmation from us carrying your booking reference. Until that confirmation reaches you, nothing is held for you.
A Reserve Now, Pay Later booking holds your safari without payment for 72 hours so you can arrange flights or check with your travelling companions. It is not a confirmed booking, no rooms are guaranteed, and it lapses without charge if it is not converted.
We may decline a booking, and will always explain why and refund anything paid.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and are calculated for your specific dates, party size and accommodation. Kenya shilling amounts shown for M-Pesa are converted at a rate that moves with the market.
The full amount is payable at the time of booking. We do not take deposits or instalments.
Park and conservancy fees are set by county governments and the Kenya Wildlife Service, and are outside our control. If an authority changes those fees between your booking and your travel date, we may have to pass the difference on. We will always tell you before charging anything, and if you would rather not proceed you may cancel and we will refund everything except costs our suppliers have already committed on your behalf.
What your price includes
Your confirmation lists exactly what is included. Unless it says otherwise, your price covers accommodation on the stated board basis, a private vehicle with a driver-guide, road transfers, drinking water and conservancy fees where the camp bills them to us.
It does not cover national park and reserve entry fees, which are set by county governments and the Kenya Wildlife Service and are payable on arrival unless you ask us to handle them. It also excludes international and domestic flights, visas or the Kenya eTA, travel insurance, tips, drinks, laundry, personal spending, and optional activities such as balloon flights.
Your responsibilities
- Ensuring every traveller holds a passport valid for at least six months beyond your return date, with blank pages.
- Obtaining the Kenya eTA and any other permissions needed for your nationality, before travel.
- Holding travel insurance covering cancellation, medical treatment and emergency evacuation. Some conservancies require proof of evacuation cover.
- Telling us at booking about any medical condition, disability, allergy or dietary requirement that affects your travel, so we can check the camps can accommodate it.
- Giving us accurate names and contact details. We cannot be responsible for problems caused by details supplied incorrectly.
- Following your guide’s instructions on safety, and respecting park rules and wildlife at all times.
Changes and cancellations
If you need to cancel or move your trip, the refund scale and date-change rules on our cancellation policy page apply in full.
Occasionally an itinerary has to change — a camp closes unexpectedly, a road becomes impassable, or weather makes a route unsafe. Where that happens we will tell you as early as we can and offer the closest suitable alternative we are able to secure. If the alternative is of a lower standard we will refund the difference; if it costs more, we will discuss it with you before committing to anything.
If we cancel your safari for a reason within our control, we will first offer you alternative dates or a comparable trip. If neither suits, we will refund everything you have paid us.
Safari carries risk
Safari involves wild animals, remote locations, unmade roads and long distances from medical facilities. These risks cannot be removed, only managed, and by booking you accept that they exist.
Wildlife is wild. We will put you in the right places with experienced guides and give you every reasonable chance, but no operator can guarantee that you will see any particular animal, or that the migration will cross a river while you are watching.
Our liability
We arrange your safari with reasonable skill and care, and we choose our camps, guides and vehicles carefully. The camps, airlines and other suppliers who deliver parts of your trip are independent businesses, and their own terms apply to the services they provide.
We are not liable for loss or damage caused by events outside our reasonable control, by your own actions or failure to follow safety instructions, by airlines or other transport we did not arrange, or for personal belongings lost or damaged during your trip.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Where our liability is limited, it is limited to the total amount you paid us for the booking.
Events outside anyone’s control
Neither we nor our partners are liable for failing to deliver a safari because of events beyond reasonable control — extreme weather, flooding, fire, epidemic, civil unrest, strikes, border or airport closures, or government action.
In those situations we will recover whatever we can from our suppliers and pass all of it to you, as a refund or as a safari credit, whichever you prefer. This is precisely what travel insurance exists for.
If something goes wrong
Tell your guide or camp manager immediately. Most problems can be fixed on the spot, and almost none can be fixed after you have flown home.
If it is not resolved, write to us at info@entonai-safaris.com within 28 days of returning, quoting your booking reference. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and give you a full response within 28 days.
Photography
We sometimes photograph trips for our website and social media. If you would prefer not to appear, tell your guide or email us — there is no need to explain, and it will not affect your safari in any way.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the Kenyan courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not remove protections you have under the mandatory law of your own country.
